Coen Brothers are by far my favorite filmmakers.

Such a gorgeous film visually—O Brother and The Right Stuff are the top two in terms of cinematography. Plus the writing and the acting—Clooney especially, but also Tuturro and Blake Nelson.

Plus the call backs to classic films like the Wizard of Oz and Cool Hand Luke. And its obviously overall inspiration of The Odyssey.

And of course the music.

I think my favorite scene might have to be when the devilish sheriff is about to hang the main characters right before the flood comes rolling in and Clooney’s character makes a final appeal to God.

Just a perfect mix of acting, music and cinematography.
