They are bullies. The best outcome is not their goal. The truth is not what they seek.

The smartest of them are like the debate team jerk who smugly knows and smiles to show he knows he is wrong while winning the argument or at least ruining other peoples day. There are also the much less smart among them that share that smile. That smile that says, I'm winning even when I am wrong. You have seen that face on Trump and Carl Rove. The pharma dude/Covington High School boy smile. We have all seen it. There is no point in arguing with them. They enjoy the pain until it is theirs.
