no rescue package which Manchin voted for. Also, Manchin voted to save the ACA during the Trump administration...without his vote the ACA would be gone. We will be damned lucky to keep the House and the Senate in 22 so consider that. And I have seen the same sort of posts about other moderate Democrats who are now replaced by Republicans. Mary Landrieu, Blanche Lincoln, Roland Burris, Evan Bayh, Byron Dorgan, Arlen Spector, Russ Feingold, Mark Begich, Mark Pryor, Mark Udall (Corey Gardner held he seat until 2020 12 years),Tom Harkin, John Walsh, Kay Hagen, Tim Johnson and Jay Rockefeller. More recently, we lost Claire McCaskill, Heidi Heitcamp, Joe Donnelly and Doug Jones.

Please note that Ted Kennedy was replaced Scott Brown who was later replaced by Sen. Warren...but the Massachusetts seat and the Colorado seat are the only ones listed that we have gotten back...all others remain with the GOP as will Manchin's seat when he leaves. Rockefeller was from WVA you know...so maybe look at the Democratic senatorial carnage since 2010 that we have faced and then tell me you think if Manchin leaves it would be a good thing. It wouldn't. It would be one more seat that is lost to us for decades.

Without voting rights bill, Dems lose majorities in 22 regardless, so punishing Manchin is a must. Fiendish Thingy Apr 2021 #19
I don't necessarily agree with that. I think we need to work on strategies to win if we can't Demsrule86 Apr 2021 #24
