26. it's been very hard to accept this rather surreal state of affairs

In the "before times", I always held some measure of faith and belief the more informed we were, the more vigilant in our activism and determination to fight against these forces of evil and insanity, so long as we are unified, we can overcome this horror in solidarity and strength in numbers.

I still believe it's possible. But believing it's likely is a different matter altogether.

We have to first understand with a clear eye on what it is we're dealing with. And secondly, we can't have revisionism of recent events and pretend that Jan 6th was a nothing burger, and what is playing out daily since then is nothing to be concerned about.

Too many "influencers" in the media, government agencies, and others appear to be doing that as evidenced in the slow walking of accountability, and sort of ho hum "that was then" it can't happen again attitude.

Very Dangerous and a standard recipe for repeated and more aggressive recurrence.
