(99 posts)I have had co-workers ask me why I don't have a gun. My reply is simple, I have no desire to kill anything.
When they ask what do I mean, I respond with what is the primary purpose of a firearm. Then I get the usual BS respond of self-defense. My answer is NO, that is a byproduct. Try again. Since they have obviously not thought about it, I tell them that the primary purpose of a firearm is to kill something, they are incredulous for some reason.
When I explain that guns have one purpose and that is to kill something, and everything else is a by product of that purpose, they still don't get it. What about target shooting? Improves your aim so that you can kill something. What about self defense? If someone things you can kill them with your gun, they may not attack you......
Until the ammosexuals accept the fact that their love affair with the firearm is its ability to kill, we will get nowhere.
