...unless it comes with compensating factors, such as the willingness to directly attack people and take their stuff. That, after all, is how dynasties ( or as we would call them today, "wealthy families" ) develop.
It would seem that the 1918 pandemic wasn't 100% effective in weeding out the lines of idiots. But the coming series of global pandemics will happen at a much faster cadence, boosting the selective effectiveness.
