(938 posts)22. I think the problem with polls is
that theyre just not reaching young people. Its just kind of assumed that Millennials and Zoomers are progressive as a cohort, but I think a not inconsiderable number of them have been red-pilled by things like Gamer Gate and the Incel movement (as it were). Irony-poisoned dead-enders who skew anarchist or fascist, every sign of progressivism or inclusion seen as a direct attack on the privileges their white cis parents enjoyed, privileges they want to safeguard for themselves.
I think the one thing I can say for my generation and the younger generation is that the income insecurity that has plagued us since the Bush era has radicalized a lot of us toward the extreme wings of the political spectrum. Do with that what you will.
