Isn't it ridiculous? Smearing Democrats is just another form of voter suppression. The smears and attacks only serve to create an atmosphere of negativity: Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.
