Panama.. English is spoken (important to me) property is relatively inexpensive. The US Dollar is the currency of the country. Massive protection of the canal. Hard but not impossible to get fire arms.. Wackjobs need not apply. About 3 hours to Florida if you need to get back to the states for something... medical? Relatively easy to get a visa if you have a skill needed and or some money. YMMV
