Guns used in self defense (Ukraine) are needed only because of the dominance of guns used to offend (Russia).
Behind all guns of war and guns of so-called 'polite society' are the suppliers to both sides, the munitions manufacturers.

"Manufacturers" sounds benign. But! They are better thought of as factories of fiction.
