I have no problem with some foreign debts getting paid. Heck, pay them in full and empty the account. The only pain Russia would feel from defaulting is the loss of future investments which won’t happen with the sanctions in places. When/if they are lifted I’m not sure who would want to invest in Russia with Putin in charge. Their economy is toast for decades.
