(21,550 posts)He wanted the state legislatures to throw out the results, based on this premise, but he needed more time. (Recall he keeps talking about Pence "sending it back to the states" )
The states were telling him their hands were tied, even if he had proof (which he didn't).
This case is about paving the way to make sure if drumpf loses again in 2024, that the red state legislatures have the power to install him anyway. They just have to say "uh, fraud and stuff, i guess" and throw out whatever they need to throw out. of course that works both ways, blue states can do that too. Voting results would be nothing more than a "suggestion" to the state legislature on who THEY should declare the winner. Review and certification by canvassers actually familiar with the process and results would mean nothing anymore.
