(51,584 posts)2 weeks ago was my 88 year old mom's birthday and my sister and I agreed to take hef to lunch at a small French place we have been to before often and I usually ate outside, even before Covid. So I was stunned to show up and find that my mother was planning on eating inside when there was an empty table outside. We were told we would have to wait and I said OK but my mom was pissed at me. I drew the line and told her through my N95 that I was NOT eating inside, period! She is used to getting her way, at least around me since she is very domineering. When my sister showed up she sided with me and we sat outside. I don't know why she was so stubborn since she has been masking up and vaxxed from the start.
"Don't give in to the maskless!!!" That is my motto now.
