communities in the county, the CITY of KNOXVILLE is far more progressive than your uninformed rant in the OP.

My city has a Latina mayor who got her start working with Cesar Chavez and all my immediate representatives from school board to state house are all Democrats.

I have lived and worked in small towns in Tennessee, Alabama, Indiana and South Carolina, and, by far, the most backward and "redneck" place I lived was Seymour, Indiana.

Not sure why you seem to encounter the most racist people in any given town because I don't.

Maybe you attract them?
