Dailymail... comments running against the 10 commandments in public schools [View all]

rightwing Dailyfail, usually topics get flooded by rightwing foolishness but this one:

Louisiana ranks 40th in US for childhood education, 49th in childhood poverty and 2nd in the nation for gun violence among youths. But please waste resources in your government passing bills that will not impact the lives of children. That’s Republicans for you.

Well, this is a Republic. I don’t agree with it as we have a “separation of church and state” to preserve religious freedom not destroy it. What religious zealots don’t get is that when you force this, you open it up to when you’re not in power for another zealot with beliefs you don’t agree with. It’ll be found unconstitutional.

They are focused on the wrong things. Can the student even read the 10 commandments? This state is one of the lowest educated states in the country.

And now if another major world religion wants their edicts prominently displayed too, then what?

Respect all religions by keeping them out of public schools.

Nope. That’s for church and religious education. I’m for freedom of religion. The problem is that I have the right not to have your religion forced down my throat at a government run facility. So, get ready for the schools to be forced to display religious doctrine from all religions. Fair is fair.
