People have a much easier time believing the secret service plotted to kill Trump or that Trump somehow convinced some 20 year old sharp shooter to hit his ear and not his head so he could look like a badass than to accept that this is just another mentally ill young person in an unstable world who had access to an assault weapon and decided he wanted attention and glory.
