Anyone thinking Kamala Harris is going to ascend after a contentious Biden fall [View all]

POLITICO @politico
A polling memo circulating among Dem party officials argues that the best chance to defeat Trump is with a new nominee independent of the incumbent admin.

In other words: not Kamala Harris.

...this is of course, shite stirring Politico, but folks, this is what's facing us if we retreat from our votes already cast and the organizing already taking place behind Joe Biden around the country.

They don't care which Democrat they try to take down, and some Democrats are still thinking they have some purchase on our votes - this without asking one voter if they can undo them.

Neither the press or the politicians has an actual democratic process in mind for who would ostensibly decide to run in Joe Biden's place in this race. If a nominee drops out, votes will occur among the DNC and other party leaders; an extraordinarily intrusive and exclusive process

Neither is telling you WHO exactly would make that choice in this election FOR US.

Who would the DNC process pick to CHOOSE FOR US?

Who gets in, and who gets left out (voters, that is).

The death of future primaries. Who will have faith in a process that can be undermined by their own party leaders and other elected Democrats?

No, no. Get ready for the dismantling of everything voters spoke for, aspire to with their votes in the primaries; a democratic process in which black and women voters play a huge role in participating and choosing our nominee.

HOW does this talented, most experienced Vice President get edged out of anyone's scenario for the next presidency, as VP or at the top of the ticket?

How, indeed. Witness the effort to tear apart what we carefully constructed with democratic action in our primary and election. In whose interest is it to divide and dismantle the interests and ideals contained in the democracy participated in; in actual votes cast in an election?

Look at these these people muttering and whispering to the press that they intend Joe Biden to spur democratic action and withdraw on these critics and doubters' demands.

Are they not enemies of our democratic process of choosing our nominee; opting instead for this star chamber approach that insists they know better than voters who should run in this election and serve if successful?

With not even an effort to reach out to voters and obtain some sort of agreement among Democrats, some Democratic lawmakers have conspired with a compliant media to do an end-round of the election and bully our nominee out of the race.

Now we can see clearly that nothing of what voters thought they were placing their ballots for would emerge in this 'Biden step down' scenario after the elite pols had their way in tearing democracy down.
