Josh Marshall putting it out there about his colleagues' fear of cheato [View all]

He thinks this is why they are so silent about the medical reports and transparency about cheato's injuries. He knows what motivates them, but I think he can speak out because he is an independent journalist, not one of the corporate "elites".

He thinks they are not asking because they fear pushback by the cheato cult/team. I've been saying that for weeks now.

If you know anything about journalistic norms (I have a minor in journalism from a well-known journalism dept), you know that this is unheard of. The fact that cheato is not REQUIRED to answer is completely irrelevant. If you are only to ask questions that a candidate HAS to answer by law, just give the job to a member of the candidate's staff and be done with it.

Again, this has NOTHING to do with conspiracy theories and everything to do with MAGA turning the "press" into compliant stenographers. Just as breaking down judicial norms is dangerous, so is the breakdown in journalistic norms.
