Mitch didn't allow a vote on barring him from further office during neither of his impeachment trials. 51 Senators could have put Mr Turd-Slinger out to pasture in 2021 and they'd be free to avoid him now. But they protected him. It is insane they didn't jump at the chance if they valued party over country, but instead they cravenly didn't want to anger MAGAs.
