I'm curious what percentage of us has been directly affected by guns, so am starting this little unscientific poll.
In my case I was robbed at gunpoint quite a few years ago, and more recently my step-sister was killed by a handgun (spousal abuse).... so I'm a definite yes.

Same here, No direct gun interaction but gun violence, yes...I worked at a Hospital trauma center .About 3X per week.nt

In the 1970's, my cousin was shot in a small store in the country in Albemarle County in Virginia.
