Why are we arguing about Obamacare?

7. Because we have elections this year

and the repugs will do anything to win. Obamacare is an easy target because it's a significant piece of legislation and the press has done much to vilify the program along with the repugs themselves. That's why it's being discussed. I think those of us who are interested in electing dems need to learn as much as we can about it and push towards a transition to single payer. Medicare for All, Tricare for All - either of these programs could be phased in for all. The insurance companies could still exist on a smaller level to offer supplementary coverages.
