(7,807 posts)I read the William Pitt's posts and I sympathized and wished him well. I did not add to the threads because my voice would have been lost in the crowd. It probably will be this time, too, but oh, well.
We are all in this together. DU is an oasis. A place to visit to get away from the crazy world and commiserate with like-minded people. We should not have to justify having this opinion or that point of view because we expect others to understand and have the same outlook on things.
If you don't like a thread or what somebody has to say, leave. It isn't hard. There's no reason to insult someone who is experiencing something that you haven't (yet). No need to argue. ffs, don't be mean. There's a real human being on the other side of the monitor going through a bad time. And that person deserves some TLC from the rest of us. If that's too hard to do, just go back to the main page and choose another thread.
To William Pitt: all the best to you and yours. I wish you well and hope that your situation improves. Insurance company vultures have been treating Americans like they treated your family for years and their day of reckoning can't come soon enough (if ever).
