(14,255 posts)These statements (substitute Warren for Bernie, same thing applies) seem to be lame attempts to get Sanders supporters to love everything about Hillary or Obama after all, because hey! Sanders didn't attack Hillary, so that means he thinks she should be president, so you should, too! That kind of thing.
It is what happens when those who are personality-driven as opposed to policy-driven forget everyone is not like them.
That stuff just makes me laugh, it is so transparent.
And then there are those who don't realise that they are the real purists - they have the "purity" of agreeing with everything a politician does just because they support the politician - calling others purists because others disagree with a particular policy is illogical. This leads to the "Bernie didn't attack Hillary" stuff - because Bernie did not attack Hillary, people who admire Bernie's policies and do not admire Hillary's policies are supposed to now admire Hillary. Nonsensical at best.
It is policy, not personality.
