(62,265 posts)Colorado, for example, has made great strides getting people to vote, yes, anyone, but generally, if there is a high turnout, Democrats win. This is why Republicans have fought tooth and nail to disenfranchise voters in many states.
You can't go into any high profile store in Colorado without someone pestering you to register, and because Colorado has mail in ballots, it is made all the more easier (most people vote by mail for that reason).
The negative narrative won't stop people from voting in states that have good voter drives (mandated by law), it will stop them for voting for Democrats. Already Third Way Mark Udall, who led the fight against the NSA (and who broke it long before Snowden did) is on the fence because of this, and is likely to lose to the more charismatic Republican. This shouldn't even be a race.
