Yep, the whole country is stupid, unlike the people who elected FDR, many of whom only had 6th grade educations (as shown by the 1940 census). And oh, the masses of people are gonna have nothing. Well, nothing if you don't count houses, cars, regfrigerators, ipods, cell phones, tattoos, and food and stuff. Maybe even a few million cabbage patch dolls, or whatever.
As for the list, I support some of those things too, or at least don't get all excited about them.
Mass surveillance of Americans? Not that big of a deal, necessarily.
Bailout of banks? Pretty much necessary to avoid catastrophe.
Drone wars and kill lists? Not all that excited about drones, and am still glad Al-Alwaki is dead.
Also it is overstated to say things like
both parties support
Austerity for the masses?
Cutting social safety nets?
When it is only ONE party and PART of another party that supports it.
Saying both parties support it is just hyperbole. Hyperbole which may lead people to think - hey, why bother voting for Democrats?
