Most of them likely won't even go to jail. I have no problem with them being prosecuted, though. They were convicted of crimes for financial gain.
If they had defrauded the government in some other way, say tax evasion, would you still think they shouldn't be prosecuted because they're teachers?

We jail teachers all the time when/if they are convited of crimes. Child molestation, drunk driving
