Mostly they've been instituted under a bogus threat of "terrorism" at stadiums and wherever, but it's mostly nonsense. The real threat is from lunatics with guns.

So either the choice is to not leave the house, or be subject to unreasonable searches.

Yet no one talks about banning guns or having very restrictive permit processes. Because we have more to fear from a guy (usually, but not always, a white guy with a gun and some kind of grievance.
