America is currently sitting on a powder keg, and it’s filled with a substance much more potent than gun powder. The destruction effected by a normal powder keg is localized and can be contained. A powder keg filled with an intangible substance isn't containable.

What is that intangible substance? Division, sewn with hate and violence.

Who is filling this powder keg? The answer is there for everyone to see: America’s right wing leaders are the verifiable culprits. No more false equivalencies. It’s time the right wing’s actions are not only called out, but tackled head-on.

First, it’s necessary to understand the pathology of the right wing’s leaders. Not only are they very intelligent, but they know exactly what they’re doing. They understand that the policies they support are anathema to a society with a vibrant middle-class. They know that an educated populace is a clear and present danger to their existence. They know that an educated population will find their existence untenable. But they also know that one's primitive fear sensors, those sensors meant to maintain life itself, are much more powerful than educated and calculated logic. Hence, the right wing’s modus operandi.
