(19,558 posts)46. Living in a state where they run the government, I already knew their hypocrisy.
I've witnessed them vote in candidate after candidate who in no way represents the Christian faith, all because they had an R behind their name and their church told them it's their duty because of abortion, and gays.
I'm not talking borderline candidates, I'm talking politicians who steal, are under indictment, have repeatedly been caught cheating on their spouses and who openly say racist, bigoted and misogynistic slurs. They will always turn a blindeye to the failings of the Republican and hyper focus on the how the Democrat isn't moral due to abortion and gay rights.
I want to thank you for saying this here today. We need to denounce the fake Christians and their leaders loudly and often.

Your church sounds cool. Most interpret evangelical in a stricter sense, however.
