If the goal is to sow distrust and undermine authority.

But the way to resist the coup is to not claim, "If we do this they win" unless it's what they say winning means.

At best, Trump's win gets the FSB a C. They're working for an A. And for that, they need distrust and for the American populace to be so divided that it can't stand as a country.

Yes, it's a Catch-22. There's no good solution at this point, there's no good response, which is exactly the situation good spycraft or any good con gets their targets into. There are merely the solutions that are short-term emotionally satisfying. However, unless the Trump supporters come around all that's happening is part of we the people are making enemies of other parts of we the people, and for sure when the tables are turned it'll be the same problem with interest and accrued hard feelings.
