(5,272 posts)something like that for my own satisfaction, but I don't need you to be a dumbass so that I feel good about myself.
And Sanders has been my favorite Senator since he entered the Senate. Previously he was among my favorite congresspeople. I didn't just discover him, nor can I think of any Russian bullshit that influenced my preference. I have said here many times that on too many things Clinton has been unfairly vilified by the right-wing. I understand why her record is complicated because of that, but given the choice, which I had, I preferred Sanders in the primary. I voted for Clinton in the GE.
But I agree with you about electability to a large extent, and I don't think outsiders are very likely to get elected given the culture of Washington and the influence of money. But it is the outsider's job to push on the insiders so that they have cover to do the right thing when it would be hard if nobody was at the gates, demanding it.
I'm not desperate to make it personal, I just think you aren't being entirely genuine. You responded to a thread about more than just Sanders, thought it was important to criticize him, and I responded disagreeing with your criticism, and saying basically "Hey, but we both like Franken," to which you came back to continue to talk about Sanders(understandable if you can't let or don't think what I said should be left alone) and tell me there are other Senators than him, which, I think I kind of said already. But it was hardly a swipe at you to say that you weren't letting it go. It was a recognition of the state of things that we are bickering over it because we both think it has to be addressed for whatever reasons. I'm not sure why you thought that was a personal attack.
As to Russia meddling in our elections, I hope we nail Trump to the wall on that.
