My mum used to work at K-Mart in Dubuque, IA back in the day. George Kennedy was filming a movie in Galena, IL with Clint Eastwood. Mr Kennedy came into K-Mart and walked around for a while, getting a few things. Mum couldn't believe he was there, so kept looking at him. She said he seemed surprised, a little bummed even, that nobody recognized him. As he was finishing checking out and getting ready to leave, he noticed that she'd recognized him and was looking at him. He gave her a big smile in recognition, totally making her day.
