In reply to the discussion: McConnell seeks to inflict political pain on budget votes [View all]EndlessWire

Ever notice how once they get elected, they turn away from the People and make it a war between what they want and the opposition? They don't seem to notice people anymore. We cease to be a part of the government until they need our votes.
I personally don't care if some illegal immigrant gets money to feed their kid. I just don't. We will be feeding everyone before the ship is righted.
Meanwhile, Turtle Man (Senate MINORITY Leader Turtle Man) seems to think that he is still Number One. He's not. They lost. The Georgia Peaches took care of that.
So, this infighting is either 1) distraction from Trump's trial, or 2) a power trip by the Repubs. Cause it sure isn't real concern over the economy. If they cared about the economy, they would be screaming, "Where do we sign!"
I dunno. I think McConnell is evil. Here he is broadcasting with impunity the fact that he intends to disrupt the Dem agenda no matter what it is, just like he declared he would during Obama's tenure. Not too hard to see that that's the plan.
The problem for him is that life is not normal. We are in the midst of a pandemic post Trump, and everything is upside down. His red states are likely to be hurting every bit as much as blue states, and his people will be wondering why they didn't get their $1,400 when it would have saved them a world of hurt.
You know that this will be brought up for midterms. "I didn't want you to get your money! Vote for me!" Uh huh...
