LINCOLN Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will appear on November's general election ballot after the environmental attorney and vaccine skeptic collected enough signatures to qualify as a nonpartisan presidential candidate.
Secretary of State Bob Evnen said Kennedy's campaign received 4,442 valid signatures from Nebraska voters, far more than the 2,500 needed to qualify for the ballot.
"The Elections Division and county election officials worked diligently to process and certify this petition," Evnen said in a press release.
Kennedy's campaign was authorized to begin gathering petition signatures in December and by April announced it had collected more than 4,800 signatures from registered voters in the Cornhusker State.
