Now you have one talking about signing off on sticking our hands in front of the hands of the low-income and saying "no, can't eat that, don't CARE if you are hungry". We gotta save money so we can send it to the bankers, I'm told.

Wanna see what people in favor of taking food from the mouths of hungry children sound like?

"The cuts are mostly from loopholes that should be closed" <-- This DU member thinks hungry neighbors are "loopholes that need to be closed".

Not loopholes. People. The ones you pass every day, working and not. Your neighbors, whom you are dependent on for an economy. Now you want to take money out that would have paid for your checker at the grocery, the person who fixes your car to have an extra hour for you, the many things those dollars go for as they spread out from their purchases.

Loopholes my ass.

I'm quite sure Abraham Lincoln would find no shortage of the types today that he said were worse than the Confederate Army...
