I have a friend I met in college whose family was "relocated" to one of those camps in 1942. Took me a long time, all those years later, to fully process what that meant and the affect it had on Japanese Americans. My friend's parents were truly amazing in the way they handled it and they spent their lives, as has George Takei, being proud Americans who, in spite of what was done to them, loved the country of their birth--America.

Blessings to all who experienced this dark moment in our history, including George Takei, a truly incredible human being.
