3. Discipline versus Serendipity

Democrats have brought diverse interests together and blended them,
and compromised, and traded off each other, and tried to rule from the
political middle in what is common sense to them.

Republicans have brought their core radical conservative ideas together
and put teeth in them, then hacked away at whatever wouldn't agree
with them.

Obama tried to define American values at his DNC speech in July 2016,
and I thought it a remarkable statement, unassailable. How do we make
our party troops ready to do battle and convince voters of the value of
our core beliefs? Voter apathy is as big a hurdle as any.
