live in a city hood that is kinda gritty. had few bad things happen to me in my 35 years here, but i have had my car stolen 3 times.
they all turned up. usually w some damage to the column from hotwiring it, but...

one was only a block away, cuz it had almost no gas. lol.

assume you reported it stolen, but in my case one of them was found after it started collecting tickets. my alderman tracked it down for me.
make sure they are watching for that.
