14. honestly, i came out of it saying- everyone should have to spend a day in jail.

you can hear about the petty cruelty, but it's still astounding to experience.
the food. jebus. soy bologna sandwiches and grape koolaid.
my state rep has worked on issues at the jail forever, and even she was shaking her head.

at least the cops warned me not to take my phone, because they impound them as evidence at the station where they being you 1st. it doesnt go w your possessions.
so i have no phone, and i didnt get out until the advocates they kept assuring me would be there to arrange transportation were gone for the day. i was the last one out.
i considered myself lucky to get a jittney cab that only charged me twice what a real cab would have cost. even tho he had to take me to an atm to get paid.
