After Boing Boing did an expose of counterfeit laptop batteries, and seeing how others would get scammed with bogus batteries, I make it a point to only purchase them from the OEM channel directly. I guess I'll have to do this with shop tool batteries too. Many resellers get caught up in purchasing scam batteries if they do not purchase directly from the OEM and use a 3rd Party supplier. This would also apply to stores that might try and find cheaper supplies, not knowing they are actually buying scam stuff. I NEVER buy batteries from Amazon or eBay!
