6. We finally got one because

previously, the power would go out when my husband was out of town. Granted, it was never for long, but hours long is still a pain in the ass.

Our most recent power outage was long enough that we had to throw out all of our refrigerated and frozen food and while I was up in Fishersville, my husband was home, dealing with it.
