It will take time at the DMV. It is not a 5 min McDonalds drive thru experience.
It may take a couple of hours.

Remebmer to ask for ALL ELECTIONS IN THE YEAR.
You may have to apply every year. Wisconsin has elections every year, either two- in odd numbered years for local offices or four-in even numbered years which include a fall federal election.
