This is a country whose center-left administration moved early (March 19, last year) to enact a lockdown, then social distancing - but to no avail.

Besides which, they took office after 4 years of the "Trump of the Pampas" - leaving a massive debt and economic crisis, just before the Covid one.

At least, they've managed to beef up with ICU capacity by 40% in just a few months. And that's certainly helped them cope.

Still - a perfect storm if there ever was one.
