There is no want for intrigue, and the characters tend to grow on you. Their reserved enough not to shock your senses to short circuiting, which I find to be an easy going distraction in these times.

#45 and his agents have afforded enough shock, dismay and convolutions of reality, to cause everyday life to feel like a thriller. I'd say Cozy Mysteries, offer enough of the mundane enhanced with nuances of story telling to offer respite.
