but long before that we always skipped the Sunday closest to the 4th of July. Even after we found a couple liberal churches that we really liked. All I want to observe on any given Sunday is whatever day it is in the liturgical year, not Mother’s Day/Father’s Day/Boy Scout Sunday/Blessing of the Backpacks/Christmas in July or any other silly gimmick they come up with.
