2016 Postmortem

and the woman in front of me was having a problem because they couldn't find her filled script. Then she told them that she had dropped it off and had it filled, but when she saw the price she couldn't afford it and the pharmacy said they would hold it for her till her payday. Maybe she was at the start of a two-week pay period, who knows, but someone put it back. So she's been without whatever prescription she needs for however long it's been. Meanwhile, those of us behind her probably three deep could not help but hear it all, just due to the acoustics. When she turned away from the counter I could see her face flaming.
What a country.
Single payer! No more of this.

Medicare doesn't pay for prescriptions so Medicare-for-all won't solve the problem.
