And by the way, that was only one of the several sites I sighted on that post. There are many other legitimate media sites such a Politico and CNN which posted near identical articles about your candidate. When Politico and CNN are saying the very same things about Bernie Sanders' past exploits as a "neo-Nazi, anti-Semetic hate site", that doesn't look good for your candidate.
It is part of the historical record that Sanders used a trip to Russia as his honeymoon and that he traveled to Nicaragua for the 5th anniversary of the Soviet sponsored Sandinista revolution. In addition, while he was there he had a private audience with Danial Ortega, all at the height of the cold war. It is also clear that he traveled to Cuba a few months later and after the trip praised Castro's government in the interview. (You can Google the interview and listen to it yourself.) Of course, Sanders forgot to mention that while he was visiting both countries the Sandinistas and Castro were depriving their populations of their basic civil rights and torturing their opponents to death. It is also true, as cited by numerous sources, that Sanders displayed a Soviet flag in his mayor's office in Burlington, reportedly in honor of Burlington's sister city in the USSR, an arrangement between the two cities he solidified while on the trip to the USSR with his brand new wife. Had all of this been widely known at the time, many in this country erroneously would have viewed Bernie as a sympathizer at best.
While all of this happened long ago, the vast majority of American voter are unaware of these actives; Not many people cared at the time what the mayor of a very small city in Maine was doing. However even now these exploits by a future Presidential candidate would seem dubious at best to large segments of the population. There is no doubt in my mind that the Republican Swift Boat machine, if given the chance, would make them appear positively damning.
Hillary never mentioned these exploits because she didn't have to. If there is a silver lining for Sanders supporters in Bernie losing the nomination, it is that the vast majority of the US population will never become aware of Sanders' early adventures on the "dark side".
