who voted for Sanders in 'Hillary safe' states for this reason:

I think the platform will reflect the more leftward tilt of the current Democratic Party.

They want the party to move to the left and felt that Bernie getting the votes he did made a statement and would force it. But they support Hillary. I understood what they were saying. People make their decisions to cast their votes for all sorts of reasons.
