yeah, there is power of support on-line and financial and supposedly reflect democratic Ideals - so yeah they are important, it is pretty bad when you feel you have to handicap yourself by ignoring the party organization. If you look at the losing record it has had for 8 years, and how most of the money went to blue dogs, then you understand the issue of it not being run correctly. The DNC never supported the democrat running here, yest it has been gerrymandered to be republican, but during strong years, things could change. So for me to donate to the party is like flushing money down the toilet, politically speaking. I give directly to the candidate now.
