Had in gone in with troops, bombed the entire country into oblivion, and killed Assad in the process from the beginning, lost thousands of American military lives, the same folks now complaining would have torn him to shreds just as they are doing now. I would much rather take the flack and not have our troops on the ground there in large numbers. That said.
